The two wrong numbers
Every week we get the same two first orders from new e-moto dealers.
The first is one bike. “Let me test it before I commit.” The second is a container. “Give me your best price on forty.”
One bike teaches you one customer’s opinion and pays retail freight. Forty bikes of a model you have never sold locks up cash on a guess. Neither order tells you what your floor will actually move.
Why five
Five mixed units is where the numbers start working:
- Dealer pricing unlocks. From five units our list drops 10 to 25 percent depending on the mix.
- Freight consolidates. Five crates ship and clear as one lot. The per-unit landed cost is close to a container’s, without the container’s cash.
- The floor gets a choice. Customers pick between models instead of saying yes or no to one.
- You get reorder data. Within a month you know which model sold first, which one people asked about but did not buy, and which one nobody touched.
A first mixed order that works
- 2 commuter units (A1 or ES-10X class). The volume seller. Delivery riders and daily commuters buy these on running cost alone.
- 2 trail units (X1 or X2 class). The bikes customers come in to look at. Test rides sell them.
- 1 style unit (Warrior Café or Black Warrior). Park it at the front of the shop. It sells the other four.
What comes with it
Every unit ships DDP: factory price, freight, duty and clearance in one number, to your door in Cambodia, Laos or the UAE. 50 percent deposit confirms, balance on shipment, 15 to 30 days. Other countries get a DDP quote on request.
Then reorder by the container
After the first five you are not guessing anymore. Reorder the two models that moved, by the container, at container pricing. That is the whole playbook.
